Last year in my twenties…

Surprisingly, I am looking forward to it. I have a fresh look on this upcoming year and want to make it about being adventurous and trying new things and having new experiences.

I did not want a big birthday celebration this year. I wanted something simple and relaxing, a day to prepare for the year to come.

My 28th birthday and year is what brought on the need for a change. I had the absolute best birthday that I have had in a long time. From the time I woke up, my day at work, and my birthday dinner and party was wonderful. Everyone made the day so special. I had some of my closest friends with me at dinner and we spent the whole night having a great evening. My husband made sure everything was perfect, he always makes every occasion as perfect as he can! Then came day 2 of being 28…

Starting with the day after my birthday things starting going in a direction that I did not particularly care for. I will not go into to many details, but to sum it up I had a couple of ER visits (I had never been to the ER before then), some health issues, a frustrating and stressful year at work, and worst of all, my clothes have been consistently shrinking! Shrinking smaller than ever! So all of these combined throughout the year made me thankful that it is over!

I have never blogged before, I don’t even know if I am doing it right. So this will definitely be a learning experience! But, I thought it would be a fun way to keep track of the last year of my twenties. I also wanted something to hold me accountable for making this a great year! I am going to start a checklist (I love checklist!) of things I want to accomplish this year and I am hoping that I will get the majority done before I am 30. I have a few things in mind, some are going to be specific and some just general ideas.

So yesterday was my birthday. I have to say it was just what I wanted. I had a simple lunch with two of my closest friends, a much needed massage and a perfect date night dinner with my handsome husband! With a great day like that I have to say…

Bring it on 29, I am ready! Let the adventures begin!

29th Birthday!

29th Birthday!
